Just How Versatile is VASER Liposuction?
18 March 2016
In the quest to achieve the ideal body shape, more and more men and women are considering medical intervention in the form of VASER Lipo. But, whilst we all know of the more obvious places to have fat removal, such as the abdomen and upper thigh, there are many other areas that can be treated that you may not have thought possible.
Not only is VASER minimally invasive, but it is a versatile treatment that that allows you to treat areas that once weren’t possible, using the traditional methods of liposuction.
How is VASER more versatile that traditional liposuction?
One of the most compelling elements of VASER Lipo is that we use ultra sound technology, which allows us more control over the process. With traditional liposuction, damage can be caused to the surrounding tissue, however VASER is much more gentle on the body, whilst still remaining extremely effective. This ultra sound technology only breaks up the fat cells, leaving all other tissues intact, this means the entire experience causes much less trauma to the surrounding issue.
Which areas of the body can be treated with VASER Lipo?
Unlike traditional liposuction, there are many different areas that can be targeted using VASER. These include;
- Jawline, chin and neck
- Abdomen, hips and love handles
- Breasts, including make breast reduction
- Back, buttocks
- Upper and lower thigh
- Arms
- Knees, Calves and Ankles
Because VASER is minimally invasive, it can be performed on a number of different areas during the same procedure. Your needs can be discussed with our nurse practitioner during your initial consultation.
You may start to see the results of your treatment almost immediately, however there will be continued improvement as the swelling begins to reside. It is normal for the results of the procedure to take up to six months to reach their absolute best.
Unlike traditional liposuction, VASER liposuction only requires a local anaesthetic, reducing the recovery time significantly. Most patients are able to resume their normal activities straight away, however it is recommended that you take two days to ensure that you give your body time to rest.
