Am I Ready for a Facelift?
22 April 2016
We will all be affected by the ageing process sooner or later as our skin begins to lose its elasticity and muscles around the face begin to slack. This can be caused by the stresses of daily life, exposure to the sun, dramatic weight loss or just the general effects of gravity. Unfortunately, for the lower face this cause folds around the mouth to deepen, jowls to appear, the jaw line to sag and the skin around the neck to become much less firm. For the upper face, the brow can begin to droop and the skin around the eyelids can form into folds.
For many people, having a facelift is the answer to retrieving a youthful appearance that may have been lost over time, but ?
How does a thread lift work?
A thread lift is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift, that can be equally as effective, but much less invasive and traumatic to the body. It works by using PDO threads to lift parts of the face, ultimately giving you smoother, more youthful appearing skin. These cogs help tighten the skin by stimulating the production of collagen, which will give you tightened, toned and voluminous skin.
Thread lift Vs Facelift
Although facelifts have their benefits, thread lifts are able to offer you equally as effective results, yet is much safer and affordable, making it ideal for patients who do not want a traditional facelift. It is performed under local anesthetic and is minimally invasive and non-surgical, taking away the surgical risks that come along side having a facelift. The recovery time and treatment is also much less, with the procedure often taking under an hour to perform.
Initially, the effects of a thread lift can last around 18 months, with top up treatments needed at 12 month intervals. Thread lifts are also much more affordable than the cost of a facelift and a treatment plan can be designed around you. A full facial thread lift can cost around £1,500 in comparison to paying in excess of £7000 for a facelift.
